The company has built high value detailed domestic properties throughout the North East of England including:

  • A development of 5 town houses built in South Street, Durham City for a property developer.
  • Bespoke stone built properties built alongside more traditional methods of construction.
  • The company has also constructed natural stone built extensions to listed buildings providing in one instance additional rooms and in the other glass entrance to a church.

We are proud to say that any renovations and refurbishments will be considered.

The company has renovated and refurbished light industrial units of considerable size.

The works to the industrial unit included changes in the footprint requiring the demolition of the redundant part of the building and the construction of a new extension. This involved significant fabrication and construction of a steel frame and the fixing of metal cladding up to a height of 10 meters.

The concrete base was changed with the break up of part of the existing floor. The resultant rubble was crushed and recycled as hardcore. None of the arising's were sent to landfill. A new concrete ground floor slab was constructed and tied into existing.

A large concrete retaining wall was built to the structural engineers specification.

SureStart

The company has recently extended two local SureStart buildings requiring groundworks for drainage, services and hard roads and pavings. The new extensions included timber frame construction and required the installation of automatic entry points. Internal fittings were to a high standard, including folding partitions and secure door controls.

For both buildings the extension matched the existing in all respects.

Building

The company has for many years been successful in providing civil engineering works for structural engineers. There is a close working relationship with these professionals providing structural solutions. These solutions may be underpinning, retaining walls, basements, piling, concrete raft and slabs.

Underpinning

Work has been carried out on a wide variety of domestic properties.

Concrete retaining walls

Retaining walls have been constructed on domestic and industrial properties, large and small throughout the country.

Basements

We have constructed basements for new domestic properties in either the traditional concrete method or more recently an insulated polystyrene permanent formwork.

Concrete Raft and Slabs

We can build Concrete Raft and Slabs either as part of a larger construction project or for developers to continue with their construction phases.

Industrial

The company undertakes concrete works for several nationwide industrial concerns.

There is no project too large for the company to undertake.

A structural engineer can be bought on board to act as partnership associates in any civil engineering project.

Concrete works have been carried out either whilst the client is operating their plant or during a shutdown. The company can work to deadlines to ensure the operations of the client are not disrupted.
